Feldenkrais Method

Tuesday | 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm

The Feldenkrais Method is an approach to movement designed to improve physical functioning, alleviate pain, and enhance overall well-being. It integrates principles of biomechanics, neurology, and body awareness to emphasize mindful, conscious movement.

The method operates on the idea the brain and nervous system can learn and adapt throughout life, regardless of age or physical limitations. Through gentle, slow movements and guided awareness, Feldenkrais helps people develop new movement patterns, making them more efficient, comfortable, and sustainable.

In group classes, called "Awareness through Movement", you are guided through a series of movement sequences designed to explore various ways of moving. The process encourages increased awareness of how your body functions and how to move more effectively. By replacing ineffective habitual patterns, you discover more efficient ways to move.

  • Increase your range of movement and joint mobility

  • Develop an engaged core and more agile posture

  • Enhance your sense of balance and spatial awareness

  • Reduce tension and pain, and recover stronger.

It makes all kind of movements-walking, running, squatting, lifting, bending, reaching, playing golf, tennis, pickleball -less injury-prone and more rewarding.
